DPMM exco claims RM5m allocation from PMO 'missing', RM6.4m used for GE14

A battle is brewing at the Malaysian Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMM) as the deputy president Syed Hussein Alhabshee and his 17 executive council members, want to hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) over allegedly dubious transactions made by its president, Rizal Faris Mohideen Abdul Kadir (photo above).

Among the transactions is a sum of RM5 million supposedly allocated to DPMM by the Prime Minister's Office during former premier Najib Abdul Razak's tenure, which was instead deposited into the account of a foundation - Yayasan DPMM Pulau Pinang Bhd - without prior approval from the executive council.

The allegations are contained in the suit filed on Sept 13 by Messrs Thomas Philip for Syed Hussein and the 17 exco members against Rizal, the DPMM secretary-general Don Nazwim Don Najib and DPMM itself...
