Azmin's ally is PKR Wanita head but Team Rafizi bags most exco posts
PKR POLLS | The top two positions for the PKR Wanita wing were won by those aligned to party deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali while most of the other positions were won by those aligned with Rafizi Ramli.
Haniza Talha and Dr Daroyah Alwi were elected the wing’s leader and deputy leader respectively while their teammate Sangeetha Jayakumar was elected as one of the three vice wing chiefs.
The other two vice wing chiefs are Faizah Ariffin and J Wasanthee, who are aligned to Rafizi.

Twelve of the 20 wing committee members are aligned to Rafizi’s team: Hasmorni Tamby, Loo Voon May, Manja Matdin, D Meera, Monaliza Mokhtar, Napsiah Khamis, Nursiah Ismail, Mahani Abdul Moin, Raiyan Abdul Rahim, Sarimah Lisut, S Thilagavathy and Zulhadiah Suboh.
The remaining eight, who are aligned with Azmin’s team, are: Catherine Jok Uvang, Ginie Lim, Juwairiya Zulkifli, C Kavitha, Nor Ashidah Ibrahim, Nurainie Haziqah, Nurul Hajar Mardhiah and S Shoba.
This new 2018-2021 lineup was announced by election committee secretary Ismail Yusop during the women’s wing congress in Shah Alam today.
A solid team
At her first press conference as the new women’s chief, Haniza said she was proud of the diversity of talent in the lineup.
“This is a mix of two of the teams that contested but the way forward is having us sit together to discuss and plan our next move.
“The team in a mix of old leaders with many new faces [...] we have leaders from Sabah, Sarawak and the other states. We also have people’s representatives as well as state executive councillors.
“This team is a solid team which will be able to deliver the agenda intended by the Pakatan Harapan government,” she said.
Haniza herself is Lembah Jaya assemblyperson and the Selangor government executive councillor for housing and urban living.
Next, plans to meet with all new Wanita division chiefs to draft short- and long-term plans for the wing. She also plans to travel to all states next year to meet with party leaders.
