Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has warned Malay rights group Perkasa not to incite any racial tensions at their rally in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.

"Avoid doing anything that will disturb public order or make any remarks which can result in racial tension.

"Police will monitor the rally to ensure that it is conducted peacefully and in accordance with the law. Strict action will be taken against anyone who breaks the law," Muhyiddin said in a statement today.

Perkasa's "Jihad" rally tomorrow is in conjunction with its annual general meeting. It's secretary-general Syed Hasan Syed Ali said the rally's theme will be in regards to current events.

The rally will take place at noon tomorrow.

Muhyiddin's warning comes in the wake of tense racial relations following riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in Subang Jaya earlier this week.

With this in mind, Muhyiddin said it is everyone's responsibility not to make the situation any worse.

Perkasa's AGM rally comes a week before Umno and PAS join forces to hold an anti-Icerd (International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination) gathering in Kuala Lumpur.
