Latheefa: Umno-style tactics won't silence me
PKR member Latheefa Koya has denounced a disciplinary complaint filed against her as "Umno-style" tactics.

PKR member Latheefa Koya is unfazed over a complaint filed against her with the party's disciplinary board.
"Using disciplinary complaints to try and silence me is a contemptible Umno-style tactic. It will not succeed," she said in a statement to Malaysiakini this afternoon.
Defending her statements, Latheefa said the issue she raised was a matter of public interest and not just confined to PKR.
"It is about concerns of cronyism and nepotism in the biggest party in the federal government of this country. It is thus of grave public interest," she added.
Earlier today, PKR's Klang and Indera Mahkota divisions filed the complaint with the disciplinary board, saying that Latheefa should not have publicly criticised PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.
According to them, she should have used the proper channels to voice her grouses.
On Monday, Latheefa claimed there were elements of cronyism and nepotism in the appointment of PKR state chiefs.
Hours later, Anwar's daughter Nurul Izzah announced her resignation as PKR vice-president and the party's Penang chief.
Following this, Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim also turned down his appointment as the Johor PKR chief, claiming that the selection process for state heads was not transparent.
