"I don't think it will. We have explained the issue and most people who I meet do not ask about it.
"It is the media that keeps asking, not the others,” he told journalists when met on the campaign trail.
Yesterday, MACC recorded the statement of the Harapan volunteer who was photographed distributing the money to a group of people.
BN leaders accused the ruling coalition of vote-buying but Harapan claimed the money was fuel reimbursement for volunteers which would be declared to the Election Commission as part of its election expenses.
Meanwhile, Manogaran said he would leave the matter to the authorities to investigate.
"Harapan cares and I want all voters to vote according to their own free will," he added.
Manogaran will face BN's Ramli Mohd Nor, an Orang Asli former top cop, in the Jan 26 by-election.
The other two contenders are independent candidates Wong Seng Yee and Sallehudin Ab Talib.
