K'tan orders eateries to close temporarily at night for Ramadan
All eateries throughout Kelantan have been ordered to close temporarily from 8.30pm till 10pm throughout the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began yesterday.

All eateries throughout Kelantan have been ordered to close temporarily from 8.30pm till 10pm throughout the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began yesterday.
This is to encourage Muslims to perform the optional tarawih night prayers at mosques or surau.
The order was made through a notice issued by the state government secretariat and it took effect yesterday, together with orders for local councils to enforce the closure.
A source close to the state government confirmed the matter with Malaysiakini, but said they would decide today on whether to enforce the directive.
Meanwhile, PAS central committee member Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz (photo) hoped the state government would withdraw the order.
"I hope and pray that this order is rescinded... It disturbs the truth and blessings of this blessed Ramadan. Halal and good earnings in Ramadan should be encouraged, not stopped," Nik Abduh wrote on Facebook.
The Bachok MP added that during Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to manage their own time wisely in order to worship God.
