'Ironic' for AG to advise Agong on ex-EC tribunal's outcome - lawyer

A lawyer representing an Election Commission member brought before the tribunal to look into allegations of misconduct has claimed that it is ironic how Attorney-General Tommy Thomas, who brought the matter against six former EC officers, must now advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on recommendations released earlier today.

Counsel K Balaguru, who acted for his brother K Bala Singam (one of the retired EC officers), said they accept the majority three-two recommendation made for the tribunal to not proceed with the hearing of 13 allegations of misconduct committed during the 14th general election on May 9, last year...
