Umno and PAS are targeting a turnout of 10,000 to commemorate the sealing of their alliance with a joint charter on Sept 14.
The crowd is expected to comprise leaders, members and supporters from both parties.
Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa said MCA and MIC leaders, as well as PAS' allies in Gagasan Sejahtera, are also expected to attend the event at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur.
"No less than 10,000 people are expected to attend... What Umno and PAS are doing is dynamic in nature headed towards the 15th general election," he added.
Annuar was speaking at a joint press conference with PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan at PWTC, which also houses the Umno headquarters, this afternoon.
During the May 9 general election last year, Umno and PAS were at opposite ends, with the vote split contributing in part to Pakatan Harapan capturing Putrajaya.
Following their electoral loss, the two parties set aside their decades-old rivalry and forged an alliance which led to a hat-trick of by-election victories in Cameron Highlands, Semenyih, and Rantau.
At present, Umno and BN have 40 Parliament seats and PAS has 18 seats.
The last time PAS and Umno teamed up was in the 1970s, when the Islamist party joined the BN government in 1972, before leaving in 1977.
Their newfound alliance has been marked by a shift further to the right by Umno.
However, Annuar said non-Muslims should not fear this union.
"Cooperation between Umno and PAS shouldn’t become a worry for non-Muslims, as Islamic teachings always place importance on the well-being and future of all people," he said.
