M'sia is for all - Salahuddin says at Tg Piai unity banquet
Malaysia is for all. That was the key message delivered by Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries Minister Salahuddin Ayub in his speech at a unity banquet in Tanjung Piai today.
"I love you all, I will fight for all of you and be a minister for all, and together we will live in this land called Malaysia," he said.

Salahuddin said as Malaysians, everyone had a right to work the land and share their harvest with one another.
"Regardless of who we are this is our land, Malays plant fruits and Chinese will buy, Chinese go to sea and Malays and Indians will buy.
"This is the way of life we should uphold, not boycott this, boycott that," he said.
He also took aim at racist politics, saying the race of a candidate only mattered to those who want to play up narrow sentiments.
Salahuddin's banquet was on the eve of the Tanjung Piai by-election tomorrow, where Pakatan Harapan will be represented by Bersatu’s Karmaine Sardini, and BN by MCA's Wee Jeck Seng.
After BN announced that Wee would be contesting, Berjasa announced that it will field a Malay candidate in response. Likewise, infamous Malay-rights politician, Ibrahim Ali is also expected to contest.
Asked about Kedah PAS' racial play on justifying a vote for MCA rather than a vote for Bersatu, Salahuddin said the Islamist party was "unprincipled" and only knows how to play the race or religion card.
Meanwhile, the Amanah deputy president denied that the unity banquet was a vote fishing attempt.
He said as a Tanjung Piai native, he goes back almost every week and holds programmes here regularly - especially in his capacity as agriculture minister.
"I can accept (such criticism) if I only just showed up at Tanjung Piai after being a minister for over a year," he said.
