1. In an interview, fugitive Low Taek Jho hinted that he has been offered asylum in a European country, and claimed the was being accused of masterminding the 1MDB scandal because he was “not a politician”.

2. Lawyer for former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, dismissed Low’s claim that he was only an introducer in the 1MDB scandal, and said Low was merely making excuses to avoid returning to Malaysia.
