"Harapan on the ground looks like we are not vibrant enough [...] so we have agreed that we should have more activities so that at least people know that not only are we alive, but we are kicking hard," he told reporters in Putrajaya today.
He was met after attending a Harapan secretariat meeting at Wisma Putra today.
Among the initiatives, he said, is that when ministers have events in opposition states, space will be given to local Harapan supporters and leaders to be part of their programmes.
The meeting was chaired by Amanah's Dr Hatta Ramli as the coalition's secretary Saifuddin Abdullah - who is also foreign affairs minister - had to meet an ambassador.
Those attendees the reporters met, including Hatta and Bersatu's Osman Sapian, all said that it was a regular meeting.
Johari said the transition of power between Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim was not discussed at their meeting.
Instead, he said that it would be discussed at the Harapan presidential council meeting at the Perdana Leadership Foundation tonight.
Commenting on that meeting, Johari said, "The sky doesn't look very good."
"But there's always a silver lining behind every cloud. The temperature will go down," he said.
Mahathir and Anwar are tonight expected to iron out the details of their transition which is expected to take place in November.
