Pakatan Harapan has set itself to resolving the economic issues facing the nation and containing Covid-19 pandemic as its top priorities, said PKR president Anwar Ibrahim today.
He pointed out there was a lack of direction in the Muhyiddin Yassin administration in resolving these major problems that had hit the country hard.

He said this when asked if Harapan was still adamant on pushing for a vote of no-confidence to determine who commanded majority support in the Dewan Rakyat when the House convenes on May 18.
"Our focus is to solidify our strength to bring up the issues, the massive issues related to unemployment, the economic issues and the hardship of the people," he told a press conference after chairing a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting in Petaling Jaya.
"We don't want to focus on the political dispute. The people are getting tired (with politics)," he said.
"We are not discounting any possibility but the focus must be the rakyat, Covid-19 and the economic issues," he said, adding the coalition will observe the political situation in the coming weeks.
The next course of action will depend on the level of support Harapan gathers, he added.
He, however, declined to answer if Harapan commanded the majority of support in the Dewan Rakyat.
Anwar said Perikatan Nasional, which took over Putrajaya with the support of lawmakers who defected from their own parties, should be working hard to resolve the major issues.
"My demand for the leadership of the country is that you have seized power via cheating and betrayal. So now you should do your work," he said.
There is growing fear in Malaysia as the number of positive coronavirus cases continues to climb. The pandemic has impacted regional and local share bourses and is expected to have a huge impact on the country's economy.
The past weeks also saw a political coup with new coalition Perikatan Nasional taking over Putrajaya and three states - Johore, Malacca and Perak.
Following this, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Harapan had pushed for a motion of confidence in Dewan Rakyat to determine if Muhyiddin commanded a majority of support in the House.
Meanwhile, Anwar also said a total of 250 PKR members were sacked as part of efforts to rid the party of those who had betrayed it.
He said it was safer for the party to get rid of these members and those who were accomplices in betraying the party.
