Foreign worker's ignorance behind upside down Jalur Gemilang - Police

The Jalur Gemilang that was shown hanging upside down at a church on Persiaran Rajawali in Klang in a video clip which went viral earlier yesterday was due to a foreign worker’s ignorance.

Klang Utara Police chief ACP Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said a local man who was walking by the church at 3.30pm yesterday had noticed that the flag was installed upside down.

“Unhappy with it, the man then lodged a police report. However, when police arrived at the location to investigate the incident, they found that the flag had been installed correctly.

“Investigations revealed that a Bangladeshi working at the church had re-hung the flag after he found it lying on the ground following a heavy downpour, not knowing it was hanging upside down,” Nurulhuda told Bernama when contacted.

However, the Bangladeshi worker had rectified the problem after being informed by a priest at the church, she said, adding that the case was considered closed.
