MACC investigations division director Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya has been appointed to be the commission’s deputy chief commissioner (operations), effective tomorrow.
He replaces Azam Baki, who was appointed as the commission’s chief since March 9.
In a statement today, the MACC said Khusairi, 53, started his career as an Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) officer in 1992. The ACA is the precursor to the MACC, prior to the latter’s establishment in 2009.
It said Khusairi (above) had served as policy, planning, and research division director, Kuala Lumpur MACC director, and intelligence division director.
He was appointed as investigations division director on December 24 last year.

Meanwhile, Johor MACC chief Norazlan Mohd Razali (above) has been appointed to be the new investigation division chief beginning tomorrow, replacing Khusairi.
“He was previously the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy director, chief of staff at the MACC chief commissioner’s office, and head of Felda’s integrity unit,” it said.
