Muar declared Covid-19 red zone after recording 44 cases

In a statement posted on social media, the Health Ministry said the district has been added into the list as the number of cases recorded there surpassed 40.

In a statement posted on social media, the Health Ministry said the district has been added into the list as the number of cases recorded there surpassed 40.
This was based on statistics of Covid-19 positive cases tabulated as of noon yesterday, Muar has a total of 44 positive cases.
"According to the latest statistics as of noon on April 14, the number of red zones have increased to 27.
"The latest red zone is Muar," the ministry said on Twitter today.
Based on the ministry's classification of zones, areas that have 40 or more cases are considered red zones. Three other zones are green (zero case), yellow (between one to 20 cases), and orange (21 to 40 cases).
So far, the state which has the most red zones is Selangor with six (Petaling, Hulu Langat, Gombak, Klang, Sepang and Hulu Selangor); followed by Kuala Lumpur (Cheras, Kepong, Lembah Pantai and Titiwangsa) and Johor (Batu Pahat, Johor Baru, Kluang and Muar).
Other states with red zones are Malacca (Jasin and Melaka Tengah); Negri Sembilan (Rembau and Seremban); Perak (Hilir Perak and Kinta); Kelantan (Kota Baru); Pahang (Jerantut and Kuantan); Sabah (Tawau); and Sarawak (Kuching and Kota Samarahan).
