An online petition urging DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang to quit politics was done to divert the public's attention from his call for the government to hold a full Dewan Rakyat sitting instead of a one-day sitting on May 18.

In a statement today, DAP organisation bureau secretary Vincent Wu urged those behind the petition to “stop wasting their energy” on such a “trivial matter”.
