CORONAVIRUS | The following is the morning update from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (MCMC) Quick Response Team on countering fake news on Covid-19 on social media.
1. Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) denies organising a Telekom Malaysia Family Special Lottery programme offering cash prizes that require the winners to send their personal particulars via e-mail.

1. Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) denies organising a Telekom Malaysia Family Special Lottery programme offering cash prizes that require the winners to send their personal particulars via e-mail.
TM reminds the public not to be easily influenced by such e-mails and to make verification at their website.
2. The Melaka Department of Health denies having asked people who visited a supermarket in Masjid Tanah on May 1 and 2, 2020, to undergo Covid-19 screening.
The department advises anyone who receives further information on the matter to contact the Melaka CPRC (Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre) at 06-2356999 / 6851 or via e-mail at cprcmelaka.moh.gov.my. - Bernama
