Anifah Aman: Mohamaddin seeks my advice on Sabah matters
Former minister Anifah Aman has claimed that Warisan's Silam MP Mohamaddin Ketapi had sought his advice on matters pertaining to Sabah.

Anifah (above) said this in a statement in response to Sabah Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal's allegation that the former minister had attempted three times to coax Mohamaddin to switch sides.
"In regard to Mohamaddin, he sought my view on Sabah as both of us studied together in England.
"I told him that although the number of seats (both Sarawak and Sabah MPs combined) is only 56, we must work together with the federal government to secure the Sabahans' rights as accorded in the 1963 Malaysia Agreement as well as the Federal Constitution.
"This is the same opinion I would give to any friends (asking about Sabah)," he said.
Anifah said he was touched by Shafie (photo) for having him in mind and thanked the Warisan president for mentioning his name.
"Although I don't have any position on the state or federal level, my name is still being mentioned.
"Perhaps because of my contributions to the country and that's why it's hard for him to forget my name," he added sarcastically.
For the record, Anifah quit Umno in 2018 but remained aligned to the party and even helped to campaign to win in the Kimanis by-election following his disqualification from the seat last year.
He said as a political leader, Shafie should be surrounded by loyal, honest, and trusted people.
"Not (surrounded) by those who can be bought."
Anifah reminded the chief minister to focus on solving the problems concerning the Sabahans such as how to revive the economy amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and to fight for their rights.
Mohamaddin (above) had confirmed that Anifah had tried to get him to defect, but downplayed it as a "normal" affair.
“Crossing over party lines should not happen but asking someone to defect is normal. That’s especially when Anifah and I had known each other since going to school together in England,” he said.
Shafie had accused Sabah Umno of trying to buy Warisan assemblypersons in an effort to topple the state government.
Sabah Umno had denied this allegation.
