Kelantan Bersatu chairperson Kamarudin Md Noor has been appointed the new chairperson of the Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (Kada), replacing Amanah vice-president Husam Musa.

Taking to social media, Kada congratulated Kamarudin (above) for the appointment. The effective date of his appointment is May 16, 2020.

"We hope to continue its efforts to meet the agenda for the sake of the farmers and to ensure the food supply for the nation," Kada said in a statement yesterday.

When contacted, Kamarudin confirmed the appointment but declined further elaboration.

"Please forgive me, I haven't entered the Kada office yet. God willing, next week," he said.

Musa had been appointed as Kada chief, effective March 1, 2019, by the Pakatan Harapan government.

Kada was established in 1972 to promote, stimulate, facilitate and undertake economic and social development in Kemubu, an area in the Ketereh district of Kelantan.
