Dr M still hopes to push for no-confidence motion against Muhyiddin
The opposition is adamant on its plan to oust Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin via a vote of no confidence in the upcoming Dewan Rakyat sitting, according to Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, the former prime minister hoped the motion of no confidence brought by him against Muhyiddin would be tabled for debate during the next Dewan Rakyat sitting between July 13 and Aug 27.

In an interview with Sin Chew Daily, the former prime minister hoped the motion of no confidence brought by him against Muhyiddin would be tabled for debate during the next Dewan Rakyat sitting between July 13 and Aug 27.
In the event his motion is rejected by Dewan Rakyat speaker Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof, Mahathir said the opposition would continue such effort during the voting process for the 2021 Budget.
The 2021 Budget is slated to be tabled at Dewan Rakyat on Nov 6.
It was reported in early May that Mahathir pushed for a no-confidence motion against Muhyiddin after he plotted a political coup dubbed Sheraton Move on Feb 23 to oust Pakatan Harapan administration.
In his motion, Mahathir said Muhyiddin did not command the majority of the House.
The motion was deferred to the July sitting as the one-day sitting on May 18 only featured the opening address by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
The motion is unlikely to see the light in July sitting as the government normally prioritises issues raised by the government.
The government is expected to table the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Bill in the upcoming sitting.
Earlier this month, Harapan president Anwar Ibrahim said the Harapan Plus coalition only has 107 parliamentary seats on its side.
