Long way to go, says Azmin amid snap polls speculation
Senior minister Azmin Ali has given the impression that the 15th general election might not be around the corner.

Pressed on what if the election is held soon, Azmin dismissed the speculation, stating: “Don't 'if' (Jangan kalau).”
Previously, the former PKR deputy president was quoted as claiming that the polls could be held this year or next year and that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) alliance is prepared to face its political opponents.
The international trade and industry minister also offered a brief response when questioned on how PN could avoid jostling for seats between Umno, PAS and Bersatu.
“Negotiate,” he said, without elaborating.
Yesterday, BN said it would contest in all the seats it had won in the previous general election in 2018.
'Clear conscience' Azmin unfazed by labels
Meanwhile, Azmin also revealed that he is not losing sleep over the negative remarks hurled at him.
“Label me what you want, I have been labelled all sorts of things. There is no effect. What is important is that our conscience is clear... It is up to them what they want to label,” he added.
Previously, several politicians had expressed disatisfaction with Azmin and the group of former PKR leaders who are now part of the Perikatan Nasional government.
There were those from Umno who had labelled them as the “G10” when discussing seat alllocations for the next general election.
Meanwhile, Azmin, who was the former economic affairs minister in the previous Pakatan Harapan administration, said he is now with PN to strengthen the government as well as to focus on the people and economy.
On the same note, he praised Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin as a calm leader.
“He (Muhyiddin) is using my theme as well – keep calm.
“Don't panic. Keep calm. Insya-Allah (God willing), we will be victorious,” he added.
Azmin and his faction left PKR in late February as part of the Sheraton Move which led to the collapse of the Harapan government.
He and the others are now Bersatu members, but there is speculation that the Gombak MP will be forming his own party to accomodate his non-Malay supporters.
