PAS MUKTAMAR | PAS Youth wants the party to contest at least 50 seats in the next general election.
The motion was put forward by the Bagan Serai PAS Youth division and was later unanimously approved by the PAS Youth Muktamar held in Kota Bharu, Kelantan today.
The motion also calls for PAS Youth to be allocated 20 percent of those seats.
This comes after PAS did not field in any candidates for the Sabah state election at the close of nomination today despite previously eyeing 10 constituencies.
In the last general election PAS, contesting as a third force, fielded 155 parliamentary candidates.
The Islamist party won 18 seats.
It has since allied with Umno and BN through Muafakat Nasional and with Bersatu under Perikatan Nasional.
