Employee pass, company letter enough to get through Klang roadblocks - police

Klang residents who live in cordoned off areas following the conditional movement control order (MCO) only need to present their employee pass or letters from their employers to get through roadblocks.
Selangor police chief Noor Azam Jamaludin said those who have such documents don't need police permission to leave the area to go to work.
"However, those who don't have employment verification letters issued by their employers or their employee pass can download a (police) form... or obtain it at the roadblocks," he told Bernama.
In a statement today, Klang Selatan police chief Shamsul Amar Ramli announced two additional road closures at Bandar Puteri, Klang (Jalan Gelang 8) and Flat Suria Pendamar, Pandamaran.
The road closures involve Lebuh Gelang 1 towards Pandamaran and Jalan Selat Selatan 14 towards Jalan Banting-Pandamaran.
Police roadblocks will be erected at Lebuh Gelang 1 and the entrance to Jalan Selat Selatan 14.
Last night, Noor Azam had said that residents in cordoned off areas needed police permission to get out.
Currently, three areas in Klang have been cordoned off, namely Andalas, Bukit Tinggi, and Kampung Kuantan.
Bukit Tinggi in Klang will see roadblocks at Persiaran Pegaga (opposite Subaidah Restaurant) and Jalan Kim Chuan Road (opposite 99 Speedmart). There will also be road closures at Jalan Batu Unjur 9 and the entrance of the Onking Chain-Store electrical shop, as well as the entrance of Wisfatt Motorcycle Shop.
Taman Sri Andalas in Klang will also see a roadblock at the intersection of Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, while road closures will be in front of Ar Rahimiah Mosque, Jalan Sri Siantan, Jalan Sri Siantan 41 and Jalan Sri Damak 53.
In Kampung Kuantan, roadblocks would be set up at Jalan Bukit Kuda while Lorong Perak, Jalan Raksa 3 (in front of Jihas Bakery) and Jalan Raksa 4 will be closed off.
For the record, the conditional MCO applies only to areas within the Klang sub-district. Areas such as Port Klang and Kapar are excluded.
