RESIDENCES

- Pantai Hillpark 5 Condominium, Kuala Lumpur

A resident, who was going through self-quarantine at Block 7, has tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents today.

The local Health Department will conduct disinfection at the relevant areas of the complex.

Other residents undergoing self-quarantine are urged to email the management with their name, unit number, duration of quarantine and unit's occupancy details.

- Arcoris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of A2 Arcoris Soho Block has tested positive, the management said in a notice to residents last night.

The management is reviewing access card logs and CCTV to track locations within the complex the infected person was in, for disinfection.

- Mont Kiara Bayu, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of Level 37 has tested positive on Oct 15, the management said.

- Goodyear Court 10, Subang Jaya

A resident at this condominium tested positive on Oct 14. According to a representative of the condominium management body, the woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital on the same day. 

Sanitisation works have been carried out at the premises.

- Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, Selangor

A school bus driver has tested positive for Covid-19, the Bandar Tasik Puteri Residents Association confirmed to Sin Chew Daily.

Earlier, Malaysiakini reported at least 11 in this neighbourhood, including several school students, tested positive for Covid-19.


SCHOOLS

- Wesley Methodist School (International), Kuala Lumpur

Two siblings who are Year 7 and Year 11 students here tested positive for Covid-19, the school said in a notice.

The school will close until Oct 22 for contact tracing and disinfection, The Vibes reported.

- Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Desa Skudai, Johor

A Year 3 student has tested positive today, prompting the school to close for contact tracing and disinfection.

It will reopen on Oct 25, Kosmo! reported


OFFICES

- Menara TM and TM Annexe 1, Kuala Lumpur and TM Rawang, Selangor

An additional 10 Covid-19 cases were detected among TM staff at the above premises.

This brings the total number of TM employees infected in the third wave to 13. 


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Cardio Vascular Sentral (CVS), Kuala Lumpur

A 52-year-old man, who was a patient here from Oct 8 to 13, later tested positive for Covid-19, CVS said.

He tested negative for Covid-19 at the time and was discharged without any symptoms.

However, the patient tested positive for Covid-19 when receiving emergency treatment at another facility days after he was discharged from CVS.

Following this, three of its staff members in close contact with the patient had tested positive for Covid-19, while all doctors tested negative.

The facility said it remains operational and regular service will resume on Monday.


BUSINESSES

- McDonald's Kota Emerald DT, Rawang, Selangor

McDonald's Malaysia issued a statement that it has closed a branch in Rawang for disinfection yesterday after a member of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.

It said all crew members at the restaurant have been instructed to undergo a 14-day quarantine, but the restaurant has reopened today with a new team after being given the go-ahead by the authorities.
