This was confirmed by her son, former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak via social media.
"Innalillahwainnailaihirojiun, my mother is no longer here. The whole family at the hospital. Sadness and tears are flowing, no words to describe our loss,” he wrote on his Facebook page today.
Rahah had been admitted to the Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur, for treatment.
She married Abdul Razak on Sept 4, 1952, and they were blessed with five sons - Najib, Mohamed Nazir, Ahmad Johari, Mohamed Nizam and Mohamed Nazim.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said Rahah would be accorded a state funeral and buried at the Heroes’ Mausoleum at Masjid Negara tomorrow.
"I on behalf of the government and the people of Malaysia convey our condolences to Najib and all the other family members on the passing of Rahah today.
"May Allah SWT bless her soul and place her among the faithful. Al-Fatihah," he said in a statement.
