BUSINESSES

- Village Grocer M-City Ampang, Kuala Lumpur

The management said a cashier from its M-City outlet had tested positive for Coivd-19 on Jan 13.

The staff last reported for work on Jan 7. Close contacts will be sent for screening and home quarantine.

Deep sanitisation has been carried out in the store, it said.

- Ben's Independent Grocer (BIG) Publika Mall, Kuala Lumpur

The BIG management said a staff member from the non-halal and non-food department of the Publika outlet had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 13. The employee last reported working on Jan 13.

On Jan 15, a staff member from the concessionaire counter also tested positive for Covid-19. The worker last reported working on Jan 14.

All close contacts will be sent for screening and home quarantine.

The store has undergone sanitisation since then.

Sony, The Curve Shopping Centre, Mutiara Damansara, Selangor

Sony Malaysia announced that an employee at the Sony store in The Curve shopping centre had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 13. The branch was immediately closed on Jan 12 until further notice, for disinfection.

The employee was last at work on Jan 7 and did not display any symptoms. All employees at the store have undergone screening and were placed under home quarantine.

- Village Grocer, Melawati Mall, Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed a staff member from the non-halal section of the Village Grocer in Melawati Mall had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 13.

The staff last reported working on Jan 13. Those identified as close contacts will undergo screening and home quarantine.

The store has since been sanitised.

- Jaya Grocer, The Intermark Mall, Kuala Lumpur

The Jaya Grocer management said a cashier from this branch tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 14.

The staff last reported working on Jan 12. The store will be closed on Jan 15 for sanitisation and will reopen for business on Jan 16.

Close contacts have been quarantined and will undergo screening.

- ST Rosyam Mart Sdn Bhd, Taman Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur

A staff member was found positive for Covid-19, said the management in a statement on Jan 14.

Close contacts have been asked to undergo screening and home quarantine.

The entire premise has been sanitised and disinfected.

RESIDENCES

- Mandarina Courts, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice dated Jan 12 that a resident had tested positive for Covid-19.

All possible contaminated areas will be disinfected and sanitised, they added.

- Platinum Hill PV8 Condominium, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in two notices that there have been several confirmed Covid-19 cases in the condominium.

The first notice said the management was informed on Jan 7 of a confirmed case from Block C.

The second notice on Jan 13 said three residents from Block B had tested positive for Covid-19.

Disinfection has been conducted in all common areas.

- I-Santorini, Tanjung Bungah, Penang

The management confirmed in a notice on Jan 15 that a resident had tested positive for Covid-19.

The patient's family members had all tested negative but were advised to self-quarantine for 10 days.

Sanitisation and disinfection have been conducted in all common areas.

- Parkhill Residence, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice dated Jan 12 that another resident had tested positive for Covid-19.

This time, the affected area is Block C Level 35. This is the second case within the condominium. The first one was detected on Jan 10 at Block D Level 8.

All common areas have been disinfected.

- Andari Town Villa, Batu Caves, Selangor

The management confirmed there has been another Covid-19 case among its residents on Jan 14. The patient is from Block B3A.

This is the 12th case here.

Sanitisation and disinfection have been carried out.

- Damansara Villa condominium, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 14 that two residents had tested positive for Covid-19.

The management also noted that one of the patients was at the poolside on Jan 12. As such, it advised residents who had been at the poolside in the last two days to quarantine themselves and get screened if they are feeling unwell.

The condominium will be sanitised.

- Seri Maya condominium, Kementah, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice dated Jan 14 that a resident from Block C tested positive for Covid-19.

This is the ninth resident to confirm positive for Covid-19 at the condominium since Dec 25.

All common areas have since been sanitised.

- De Tropicana Condominium, Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice dated Jan 8 that a resident from Level 11 had tested positive for Covid-19.

It is believed the resident contracted it from their workplace.

All common areas have been sanitised.

- Kampung Warisan condominium, Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 14 that there are two Covid-19 cases in the condominium.

The affected blocks are Block Melur and Block Kenanga.

All affected areas have been sanitised.

- Casa Idaman condominium, Kampung Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice that the residents of a unit in Block A Level 12 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 12.

Intensive disinfection done by professionals has been arranged.

- Various residential areas in Kedah

The Kedah Health Department today released a list of residential localities where Covid-19 cases were recorded on Jan 14.


OFFICES

- BigBlueTV Sdn Bhd, Wisma Central, Kuala Lumpur

Umno blogger Zaharin Mohd Yasin attended several live interviews with BigBlueTV recently, including one with former federal territories minister Khalid Samad on Jan 11.

His latest appearance on BigBlueTV was on Jan 13. He also made appearances on Jan 8 and Jan 4, based on his social media.

Zaharin tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 14. 

- Damansara Uptown One, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

A tenant had informed the management on Jan 15 that one of its employees had tested positive for Covid-19.

The staff member was last in the office on Jan 12.

The tenant's office will be closed immediately until further notice.

Sanitisation and deep cleaning will be carried out in all common areas.


OTHERS

- Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur

Umno blogger Zaharin Mohd Yasin attended Padang Rengas MP Nazri Aziz's press conference here on Jan 12 at the Bilik Melaka, based on his social media.

The blogger tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 14.

Zaharin also taped a live interview with former defence minister Mohamad Sabu in a studio in PWTC on Jan 12. Mohamad Sabu has since tested negative for Covid-19.

Zaharin also taped another interview at the same studio in PWTC on Jan 2.

- Bandar Tun Razak Umno office, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur

Umno blogger Zaharin Mohd Yasin attended the Bandar Tun Razak Umno delegates' meeting here on Jan 3, according to his social media.

He later tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 14.

- Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) office, Sibu, Sarawak

A blood donor who went to the MRC office in Sibu was confirmed positive for Covid-19.

As such, the Sibu MRC office will be closed until further notice for sanitisation.

The donor had reportedly visited the MRC office on Jan 9.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- Taska dan Pusat Jagaan Al Ehsan, Proton City, Tanjung Malim, Perak

A four-month-old baby who attends this childcare centre had tested positive for Covid-19, as reported by Oriental Daily.

The baby was reportedly infected by her mother who works in a car spare parts factory in Proton City.

The baby's older brother, who studies in a kindergarten, had also tested positive.
