Two units on the 12th floor of a condominium were destroyed in a fire at Jalan 4/155, Bukit OUG, Kuala Lumpur, tonight.
Senior Fire and Rescue Operations commander Mohamad Hafidz Yaacob told Bernama that the department received an emergency call at 9.14pm and immediately despatched fire engines and 45 personnel from the Jalan Hang Tuah, Sri Petaling and Seputeh fire stations.
He said, when the firemen arrived at the scene, about 60 percent to 90 percent of the two units had been destroyed.
“The operation to douse the fire was carried out using attacking and offensive fire fighting techniques.
“The fire was brought under control about 10pm and completely extinguished at 10.30pm,” he said, adding that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, while the cause of the fire was being investigated.
