Some Klang Valley folk may have vaccine appointments rescheduled

Some in the Klang Valley may experience changes to their Covid-19 vaccine appointment dates and time, said the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).

This could include new dates, time slots and venues.

The changes come as several large-scale vaccine administration centres, called “mega PPVs”, are set to open from next week.

In a statement today, CITF cautioned of changes “throughout the month of June”.

“These changes were made to prevent crowding at mega PPVs, especially to ensure that physical distancing can be done.

“This is also to ensure the comfort and safety of our visitors, especially the elderly and persons with disabilities who are set to be vaccinated under Phase 2 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme,” it said.

The four mega PPVs that will begin operations on Monday (June 7) are the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (Kuala Lumpur), Axiata Arena (Bukit Jalil), Setia City Convention Centre (Shah Alam) and UiTM Puncak Alam (Kuala Selangor).
