Puad links Tajuddin tell-all to 'MACC probe'
Umno supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi has suggested that Tajuddin Abdul Rahman’s bare-all press conference yesterday was linked to the latter being allegedly probed by the MACC.

Umno supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi has suggested that Tajuddin Abdul Rahman’s bare-all press conference yesterday was linked to the latter being allegedly probed by the MACC.
“He was tooting his own horn at the press conference. He twisted (a lot of facts). Everyone knows Tajuddin had many meetings at his home. Why the 200-degree turn?
“He was afraid when he was investigated by the MACC. There are many living witnesses,” Puad (above) said on Facebook today.
Puad added that Tajuddin was the “same standard” as Kuala Langat MP Dr Xavier Jayakumar, Tronoh assemblyperson Paul Yong, and Melalap assemblyperson Peter Anthony.
“They are all afraid and would ‘melt’ when investigated by the MACC. Pasir Salak carries the legacy of a warrior. However, the modern ‘living witness’ from Pasir Salak melts easily,” he said.
Puad was referring to the fact that Pasir Salak was the site of James Wheeler Woodford Birch’s assassination by Maharaja Lela and others - a key event in Malay history. Tajuddin is the MP for Pasir Salak.
The use of “living witness” was in reference to Tajuddin's words yesterday, used to describe how he witnessed many closed-door events which were allegedly unpleasant for most Umno members.

The Rengit assemblyperson’s attack was in response to Tajuddin’s wide-ranging press conference yesterday where the latter mostly trained his gun on Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s leadership.
Central to Tajuddin’s vitriol was Zahid’s “no DAP, no Anwar” slogan which Tajuddin said was just a charade and that there were concerted efforts to join forces with opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, although that attempt fell through.
Fanning the flames
Tajuddin’s tell-all followed his removal from the Umno supreme council on June 21 by Zahid.

Meanwhile, Puad also accused former Ketereh Umno division chief Annuar Musa of fanning the flames after Tajuddin’s press conference by sharing news reports of the event.
“To Annuar, this is the ammunition he needs to ‘smash’ Umno. Annuar claims that action taken against Tajuddin will cause a crisis.
“But that is what Annuar wants. That is why he is sharing it,” added Puad.
