Salary adjustment in the works, says Armed Forces Pension Fund
Military pension fund Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) has claimed that it is making the necessary salary adjustment for its workers and expressed frustration over yesterday's picket organised by LTAT Workers Union (KKLTAT).
It said the union continued with the protest despite being informed of the move.

"Several meetings and explanations have been given to KKLTAT, including through an official forum which was organised to discuss the union's demand that workers' salaries be adjusted by 15 percent and paid in arrears from 2020.
"This demand is being met. The adjustment will not be as previously done, which is to give it across the board but will be on an individual basis following appropriate salary mapping.
"Thus, some of the workers whose salaries are below the market level would get a salary adjustment of up to 36 percent, on top of a cost-of-living payment of RM5,200 each,” the pension fund said in a statement last night.
"However, the management (of LTAT) regrets KKLTAT's decision to continue with its picket despite having been informed beforehand about the salary adjustment and cost of living payout," Ladded.
This came in response to the KKLTAT picket yesterday. The union claimed that the picket was due to LTAT management's refusal to pay salary adjustment arrears for over two years.
According to LTAT, the fund had also paid annual bonuses of up to three months’ salary to its workers since 2020, among others.
"LTAT also wants to stress that none of our staff has lost their job or endured cuts to their salary and allowances throughout the Covid-19 pandemic."
