PSM deputy chairperson S Arulchelvan hopes Muda will have a better outcome in joining Pakatan Harapan, after news about the youth-based party wanting to be part of the coalition triggered "flashbacks" for him.

"Previously, during Pakatan Rakyat's time, Pakatan asked us to declare that we wanted to join the coalition.

"PSM then had a party congress, just like Muda, and after deciding and sending an official letter that we agreed to join Pakatan, they kept us in limbo until the election came.

"Until the election, the presidential council never decided. Hope Muda has a better outcome," Arulchelvan (above) said.

Earlier today, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman announced that the party was interested in joining Harapan.

He said informal negotiations on the matter have been held with the coalition's senior leadership.
