YOURSAY | Where have all the good leaders gone?

YOURSAY | ‘The dire straits this country is in now is because of Umno.’

Umno leader: Forget Mahathir, Anwar and Muhyiddin, choose BN

Apanama is Back: Umno supreme council member Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said, "As mentioned by BN chairperson (Ahmad Zahid Hamidi), we want to put Umno/BN back into power because we want to take Malaysia to the next level."

The current level where Malaysia is already enough. We are the biggest kleptocracy country in the world. No thanks to your ex-President Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.

Do we have the next level? Oh! Failed nation?

I would like the voters to forget Umno, PAS, MIC, MCA, and other component parties in BN. I mean you all need to forget the party, not the individual. I cannot write the individual names here because there are too many.

Let's vote out Umno. Like I said before, deny them three terms or even more.

Kilimanjaro: Perhaps the ‘next level’ Lenggong MP Shamsul is talking about is moving from robbing billions to trillions.

Don't these guys have any shame at all? The dire straits this country is in now are because of Umno and its irresponsible coalition partners.

Who was in the coalition that brought down Pakatan Harapan? Umno. Who was in the coalition that brought down former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin? Umno.

Muyhiddin was greedy. He did not see the larger picture. Umno was on its way out. But Muhyiddin gave Umno a new lease of life. He broke promises, defied the agreement and walked away from Harapan.

Today, Umno is not just barking at him but biting him. If Muhyiddin did not leave Harapan, Azmin Ali wouldn't dare jump ship. He won't go to PAS. Today, Umno and its president, Zahid, want to finish off Muhyiddin.

Zahid should do just that. Let this be a lesson for traitors like him and Azmin. Muhyiddin may think of himself as a seasoned politician. He is not that smart, is he?

Newday: Shamsul and other Umno leaders are not reliable either. One is in jail, where he deserves to be, after fleecing and spending millions of our money on himself, his family and cronies.

The rest of the gang, especially the senior ones, not even one of them can claim honesty, integrity or good morals when it comes to leakages, wastages and extreme cronyism, resulting in missing billions of ringgit, sick projects and all the damning information contained in the annual Auditor-General Report. None of you is fit to lead.

Magnanimous46: What is Shamsul saying? He is telling us in a convoluted way that anything and everything other than Umno is bad.

For Shamsul's information, this election is not about former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim or former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Not even about Harapan, Pejuang or the other opposition entities in contention.

It is all about abuses by Umno/BN and its illegal backdoor ruling clique in power that has taken its toll on the people and nation as never before.

It is a referendum on the remnants of the kleptocracy in power and the court cluster that is desperately trying to make a comeback to escape the long arms of the law. It is a referendum of the frogs, traitors and losers at the polls that betrayed the electorate and stole backdoor power through the Sheraton Move power grab.

Malaysians have suffered unparalleled inflation and economic woes caused by Umno's plundering ways, its 1MDB and other devastating scams and embezzlement, the subversion of the people's elected government and its resultant political and economic destabilisation, and many more, all due to Umno and its corrupt leaders are awaiting with abetted breath.

The coming 15th general election will be Umno's swan song. The rakyat says bring it on - monsoon, floods or tsunami.

YellowCat1156: "So said Umno supreme council member Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, who claimed that the trio (Mahathir, Anwar and Muhyiddin) mentioned above is the core reason for the political uncertainty in the country."

It is not the core reason, but in my opinion, the trio certainly have contributed to the political uncertainty in our country. Change is what we need.

Unfortunately, although I think changes can come from those who have been waiting in the wings, it will be almost impossible for any changes to come from either party if the old guard refuses to let go. That is the first step to change, and stability.

Koel: Another spin, is it? Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is the fella sitting in prison right now for embezzling. And your current boss, Zahid, is facing corruption charges. And their contributions have led to negative living standards for the next two or three generations.

And by the way, how many of you fellas and your families have paid your income tax? So why are you blabbering about this trio, Shamsul?

IndigoKancil5615: Shamsul, please state the source of your information when you said Malacca and Johor have seen more investments or else you are just lying through your teeth.

Regardless of how many new faces, Umno will continue its same old trade of incessant lying, provoking racial and religious sentiments and unashamedly stealing with impunity. We sincerely hope that you will also be thrown out in the coming general election.

IndigoTrout2522: After over 60 years of corruption and mismanagement, it is enough. Instead of being one of the Asian tigers (Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan), Malaysia will soon be taken over by the second and third-tier countries - Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.

And you still have the face to ask voters to vote for you. All you know is to blame the opposition. Honestly, 22 months were not enough to change the nation around. Harapan should have continued to be in government to see through reforms and changes to strengthen the economy.

Forget the corrupted Umno/BN, the treacherous Bersatu and the racist PAS. Vote for Harapan!
