Car vandalised, Rawang rep alleges political influence involved

A vehicle belonging to Rawang state assemblyperson Chua Wei Kiat has been damaged after a suspected motorcyclist threw a brick at it while he was visiting Kampung Datuk Lee Kim Sai in his constituency this morning.

Chua has since lodged a report, urging the police to investigate the incident immediately.

In the report, which was shared with the press, the PKR man said the incident took place at approximately 10.30am when he was visiting the Jelajah Ehsan Selangor programme there today.

“I saw people gathering near my car, which is a red Perodua Ativa.

“I went to check and saw the damage on my car’s spoiler. I was told that a motorcyclist, decked in a green shirt, had thrown a brick at my car,” he said in the report.

Taking the matter to his Facebook page, he alleged that there was political influence involved in the incident, saying that there are certain quarters who want to interfere with his duties as the representative of the area.

“During the general election, we fight with facts, not with gangsterism.

“I will not let this matter go. We bring a political culture of values, not a culture of vandalism,” he said.
