GE15 | Hishammuddin Hussein refused to be drawn into commenting on Rafizi Ramli’s projection that Pakatan Harapan could win between 13 and 15 seats in Johor because the latter and Anwar Ibrahim are not on the same page regarding winnable constituencies.

Therefore, he urged the PKR top two to reach a consensus first.

Quoting data firm Invoke Malaysia’s findings, Anwar and Rafizi coughed up different numbers with the opposition leader stating that Harapan could win 100 seats nationwide whereas Rafizi, 80.

However, it could not be ascertained if the pair quoted the same poll.

“Anwar said 100 (seats) nationwide, Rafizi said 80 (seats). It seems there is no understanding between them,” Hishammuddin (above) told reporters in Pagoh, Johor, this evening.

“I would like to remind them there has to be a consensus - 100 or 80 (seats)? If he (Rafizi) says 15 (can be won in Johor), what will Anwar say?

“I’d like to see if their calculations are the same. If they can’t settle it, what’s the point of me answering?” he added.

Hishammuddin also claimed that numerous of Rafizi’s predictions have not come to fruition but the public does not remember them because the PKR deputy president tends to take credit for only the predictions which come true.

“What is important is to wait until Nov 19 (polling day),” he said.

The minister, who is BN’s Sembrong candidate, was in Pagoh to campaign for BN candidate Razali Ibrahim.

Razali would be facing Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin and Harapan’s Iskandar Sahah Abdul Rahman.
