Hours after he was sacked from Umno by the party’s supreme council, former Ketereh Umno division chief Annuar Musa this morning posted a somewhat cryptic message saying that he now can only watch his “house” burn from the outside.
Annuar (above) hinted that he had been trying to save Umno from destruction, but was instead pulled out of the fight.
“On Friday night, I had a dream. The inherited house that I have been living in was on fire. I suspected that either the main switch had a short circuit or had one of its cables cut off.
“I love the house. I tried to put off the fire so that we could stop more of its occupants from abandoning our house.
“But as the fire was blazing and many others continued to leave the house, I was suddenly pulled out. And now I can only watch from the outside as the fire burns it down,” he said on Facebook.
The posting was made hours after the Umno supreme council had a meeting last night, where they reportedly decided to sack Annuar and two other party divisional leaders from the party.
According to Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi, the three were sacked because they had “criticised the party” and campaigned for a rival party during the recent general election.
It was learned that the two others were the Wanita chiefs for Arau and Maran Umno divisions.
Annuar, who is former communications and multimedia minister, was known as a strong critic of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Yesterday morning, Annuar also posted another cryptic message on his Facebook Story, which is also believed to be about Umno.
The veteran politician said he remembered an incident when a schoolmate pranked their junior by smearing some chicken poop on the latter’s nose when he was asleep.
Trying to identify the source of the odour, the clueless victim ended up taking off all his clothes.
“All the stuff he sniffed smelled like chicken poop. So he ended up throwing away all of them, including his shirt, and his sarong.
“What he didn’t know was that the poop was on his own nose. But he kept trying to find the poop on something else.”
