Anwar, Loke at Umno HQ for govt's first secretariat meeting

The federal government’s first secretariat meeting is currently underway following the arrival of party leaders at the Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur tonight.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim arrived at Menara Dato’ Onn around 7.40pm, marking his first time back here in 25 years.

It is also DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu’s first time at the Umno headquarters.

Other leaders who have arrived for the meeting include Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof and Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who also chairs the secretariat.

Leaders from all parties in the federal government including BN, Pakatan Harapan, GPS, GRS, and Warisan are also present.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to attend the meeting, which is expected to start at 8.30pm.
