Subang MP appointed Malaysia Debt Ventures chairperson
Subang MP Wong Chen has been appointed the non-executive chairperson of Malaysia Debt Ventures (MDV).
In a statement, MDV said the PKR lawmaker's appointment came into force yesterday (May 23).

In a statement, MDV said the PKR lawmaker's appointment came into force yesterday (May 23).
"Given Wong Chen’s broad experience and expertise, MDV is confident that under his leadership, MDV will continue advancing Malaysia’s technology companies and start-ups for the benefit of the nation."
Wong (above) succeeds Khairul Azwan Harun, whose term ended on Dec 31, 2022.
MDV is a subsidiary of the Minister of Finance (Incorporated) [MOF (Inc)] and an agency under the purview of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry.
Established in 2002, the company provides flexible and innovative financing facilities to develop the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector that had been identified and prioritized by the government as the catalyst for the nation's growth.
Meanwhile, Bayan Baru MP Sim Tze Tzin has been appointed the chairperson of the Technology Depository Agency (TDA), an agency under the Finance Ministry.

The appointment of the PKR lawmaker is effective May 15, the agency said in a recent Facebook post.
TDA was established to manage, administer and monitor all Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) activities implementation in Malaysia to ensure those comply with the processes and requirements as stipulated in the Malaysian ICP Management Framework.
