PAS: Govt will have tough time stemming ‘Green Wave’ in Sg Bakap

The coalition government would have a tough time stemming the rise of the “Green Wave” which will be seen again in the upcoming Sungai Bakap by-election, said PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin.

The people are fed up with the coalition government and that will give Perikatan Nasional an added advantage, he said.

“The government will have a tough time taking on the ‘Green Wave’,” Utusan Malaysia reported Hashim (above) as saying earlier today.

The state seat fell vacant following the demise of its PAS representative Nor Zamri Latiff.

It is to note that while Hashim embraces the “Green Wave” term, party president Abdul Hadi Awang criticised it, calling it a label to instil fear among the public.

While confirming that PAS will contest the seat, Hashim said the party machinery will work hard to ensure PN emerges victorious in the polls.

“The ‘Green Wave’ is strong and it’ll be hard for Pakatan Harapan.

“However, we will accept the decision made by the voters,” he added.
