Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced an allocation of over RM130 million for Felda settlers, with RM100 million to ease their burden following the implementation of the targeted diesel subsidy programme.

He also said RM31.7 million will be allocated for 317 Felda plantations for the “Program Sejahtera Komuniti Madani (Sejati Madani)” scheme.

“If you have any problems, come and negotiate. The more you criticise, the more I feel reluctant to help out.

“I asked, approximately what is the (diesel subsidy) cost (and the response was), around RM100 million. So, on Friday, I approved RM100 million for diesel subsidy,” Anwar said in his speech at the Felda Settlers’ Day event in Serdang, Selangor today.

As per the allocation, the prime minister said every Felda settlement will receive RM100,000 if they plan to generate additional income using their land.

“For the proposal, I approved RM100,000. Now, the project is running and I want participation from youth, women and those from the mosque and surau committees,” he added.
