Pahang MB wants action against Muhyiddin for playing up 3R issues
Pahang Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has urged the authorities to take action against Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin for touching on race, religion and royalty (3R) issues.
This comes after a video went viral on social media showing Muhyiddin seemingly questioning the previous Agong’s decision to appoint PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister after the 15th general election.

“I urge the authorities to take appropriate action against Muhyiddin for touching on 3R issues that can jeopardise harmony.
“Let this be a lesson to all and I urge everyone to respect our monarchs, who are the symbols of national unity and protector of the citizens,” Wan Rosdy (above) said in a statement.
In the viral video, between minutes 49 and 52, Muhyiddin, when campaigning for the Nenggiri by-election, was seen claiming that he had the support of 115 MPs to form the government following the national polls in 2022.
“According to the Federal Constitution, I had more than enough numbers to become the prime minister.
“It’s not that I want to bring up the past but it is recorded history.
“But I don’t know how… the Agong back then didn’t invite me to the palace to get sworn in. Who was the previous Agong? It’s (from) Pahang lah,” Muhyiddin was reported as saying, referring to Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
Peeved by the PN chairperson’s statement, Wan Rosdy said as a former prime minister, Muhyiddin should not drag the royal institution into politics just to hoodwink the rakyat.
“And I believe the rakyat agreed and understood the Agong’s wisdom in putting a stop to the political instability that had affected the nation earlier by forming a coalition government, which PAS and Bersatu had rejected,” the Umno vice-president said.

It is worth noting that while Sultan Abdullah had offered Muhyiddin an opportunity to form a coalition government with Anwar-led Pakatan Harapan, the Pagoh MP rejected it outright.
“Since the beginning, we already discussed that we will not cooperate with Harapan.
“No matter what the purpose is, we will not agree to it. So when I was asked to sign the offer letter, I signed ‘disagreed’,” Muhyiddin was reported as saying back then.
‘Only 105 MPs’
Umno supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi also slammed Muhyiddin and accused him of lying.
“Muhyiddin only got the support of 105 MPs and he ‘stole’ the other 10 from BN.
“However, they (the 10 BN MPs) retracted their support (from Muhyiddin) by signing new statutory declarations and the documents were already in the palace when he informed the Agong of support from 115 MPs. He failed to mention the 10 who had pulled out.
“In any case, why drag the monarch into the Nenggiri polls? Muhyiddin is bringing up personal issues when he fails to tackle national ones,” he said on Facebook yesterday.
