Zahid’s daughter sheds tears for 'Bossku'

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s daughter Nurulhidayah today shed tears when remembering the fate of former premier Najib Abdul Razak who is now behind bars.

In debating Zahid’s policy speech at the 2024 Umno general assembly, Nurulhidayah, a Wanita Umno delegate, said that Dewan Merdeka brought back memories of Najib.

“The earnestness of our previous Umno president, ‘bossku’ Najib Razak has brought the country to a point of excellence with various transformations for the welfare of the people and all Umno members.

“It is true that we really miss the days of ‘bossku’. We really miss his 'touch'. When we are in this Dewan Merdeka, every Umno general assembly, the aura and presence of ‘bossku’ is still there and felt," she said.

Nurulhidayah (above) added that in every division meeting she had officiated, Wanita Umno representatives have pushed for motions for Najib to be given justice.

“May there be light for ‘bossku’ and I personally support the motion by Wanita for Umno's top leadership to continue upholding justice for ‘bossku’ and never give up on a leader who has been with us in good times and in bad times," she said.

Attacks on Zahid

Commenting further, Nurulhidayah also touched on Umno's leadership, particularly under Zahid, who continues to be the target of attacks from certain parties.

Nurulhidayah said that even as a child, she witnessed her father's painstaking efforts in defending Umno and ensuring the party remained relevant.

“There are still ongoing incidents of Umno leadership being blamed, especially the president who is often attacked incessantly from outside and inside.

“He was insulted, cursed and labelled with intentions to kill the character of the Umno president," she said.
