Danger: MetMalaysia forecasts very heavy rain in T'ganu, Pahang

The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a danger alert on “continuous torrential rain” for several districts in Terengganu and Pahang, which it said is expected to continue until tomorrow.

In the warning message sent out yesterday evening, the authority listed the areas expected to be hit as Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman in Terengganu; and Kuantan and Pekan in Pahang.

The department also warned that several other areas in Terengganu and Pahang, and some parts of Kelantan, are expected to be hit with continuous heavy rain until tomorrow.

They are:

• Kelantan: Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang

• Terengganu: Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Kuala Terengganu

• Pahang: Jerantut, Maran, and Rompin

Besides these, MetMalaysia forecasted continuous rain to occur over Perlis and areas in Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, and Johor
