The cancer cells in Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos' lungs have now spread to his brain.

Jamal told Berita Harian that he was admitted to a private hospital in Ampang last Saturday.

"I was experiencing pain in my neck and head while cooking at home.

"After undergoing a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, the doctor found the cancer cells that were previously in my lungs had now spread to the brain by three centimetres," he said today.

Jamal then urged the public to pray for his speedy recovery.

In December 2023, Jamal was admitted to Prince Court Hospital after the recurrence of his stage four lung cancer.

His son, Amin Daniel Jamal, told the Malaysian Gazette that the cancer his father had for the past two years had returned and attacked his respiratory organs.

Jamal's physical condition had weakened since then, and his weight had also decreased.
