An aide to Anwar Ibrahim has criticised PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden for suggesting the prime minister should go on leave pending the disposal of a sexual assault suit against him.

Kamil Abdul Munim described Afnan’s suggestion that there could be “executive interference” in the legal proceedings as “dangerous and irresponsible”.
