United States President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to take action against pharmaceutical companies if they fail to take steps to slash exorbitantly priced drugs.

He sent letters to CEOs of pharmaceutical companies in an attempt to pressure them to lower drug prices within 60 days and warned that action would be taken if they refused to comply.
