The family of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) cadet Syamsul Haris Shamsudin welcomes the federal police’s swift action in taking over the probe into his death, following the Shah Alam High Court’s order yesterday.

The family’s lawyer, Naran Singh, told Malaysiakini that Syamsul’s mother, Ummu Haiman Bee Daulatgun, was “very happy” with the news and thanked the authorities for acting quickly.
