Malaysia’s badminton mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei have delivered the perfect Merdeka gift by winning gold at the World Badminton Championship in Paris, France today.

The pair clinched the medal in clinical fashion, defeating China’s Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin with scores of 21-15, and 21-14.
