Muhyiddin urges Bersatu members to stay calm, trust party process

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin has urged party members to remain calm and disciplined amid ongoing internal challenges, stressing that all issues will be handled through proper party channels.

In a statement today, Muhyiddin acknowledged the “anxiety and concern” felt by grassroots members but warned against actions outside of official structures.

“In such circumstances, the most important thing is that we remain calm, disciplined, and confident that all issues will be managed through the proper party channels.

“Any action outside these channels will only weaken the party and give an advantage to our political opponents,” he said.

He reiterated that the party’s disciplinary board had been given full authority to investigate and decide on matters in a fair and transparent manner.

“Therefore, I urge all members to allow space and trust for this process to proceed properly without any interference,” Muhyiddin said.

On Sept 30, the Bersatu disciplinary board vowed to take stern action, including immediate expulsion, against members found guilty of breaching party discipline and tarnishing its image.

The board said it would convene soon to examine all reports and complaints submitted, including against Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali, as well as supreme council members, Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz and Wan Saiful Wan Jan.

‘Stand firm, support each other’

Meanwhile, Muhyiddin reminded members of the bigger task ahead - strengthening Bersatu and Perikatan Nasional, while defending the people’s interests.

“We are engaged in a far greater struggle - strengthening Bersatu, strengthening PN, and defending the interests of the people. We must not allow internal challenges to distract us from this mission,” he said.

Calling for unity, Muhyiddin urged members to demonstrate loyalty and perseverance.

“I call upon all members to continue standing firm, supporting one another, and demonstrating loyalty to the party’s cause.

“This is the time we are being tested, and I believe that with patience and discipline, we will emerge from these challenges stronger, more resilient, and more united,” he added.
