The Federal Court has set Feb 6 to deliver its decision on a government appeal against the Court of Appeal’s decision declaring the words “offensive” and “annoy” under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA) as unconstitutional and invalid.

A three-member bench led by Chief Justice Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh fixed the date after the parties involved in the appeal concluded their submissions.
