Court reserves judgment on Guan Eng, wife's appeal to strike out graft charges

The Court of Appeal today has reserved its judgment in the appeal by former chief minister Lim Guan Eng, his wife Betty Chew, and businessperson Phang Li Koon to strike out their corruption and money laundering charges involving a foreign workers' hostel project worth RM11.6 million.

A three-member bench, led by judge Azman Abdullah, deferred its decision after hearing submissions from V Sithambaram acting for Phang, counsel RSN Rayer representing Lim and his wife, and deputy public prosecutor Ashrof Adrin Kamarul.
